We are a culture of more than 240 employees – we have operated as many as 16 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region– we specialize in mountaineering, trekking, backpacking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, road touring, recreational biking, cross country skiing, snowboarding, and fly fishing – we GUARANTEE everything that we sell, and we ONLY sell the best! Providing the most courteous, the most efficient, and the most dependable service mattered over 30 years ago when we first opened our doors in a little city outside Washington DC, that same service matters today, and that same service will matter 30 years from now. We have received numerous awards and acknowledgements for outstanding support from local conservation organizations such as the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, the Appalachian Trail Conference, The Virginia Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and the Avon Breast Cancer 3 – Day Committee. In 1991, Specialized announced that Hudson Trail Outfitters had landed on their internationally acclaimed, Top 100 Dealers List; in 2002, we broke into their Top 25.
